The use of structural steel

Steel is one of the most commonly used construction materials. It has a very wide range of applications, taking into account the specific properties of steel. Due to the high strength of steel and resistance, it is used in many industries. In construction, the most common uses of structural steel are: for overpasses, piers, hall and roof structures, railway infrastructure, stairs and many others. The strength properties of steel are used to build bridges and to produce elements reinforcing building structures, e.g. sections supporting or strengthening hulls. In addition, they are used as parts of machines and devices and for the production of many everyday elements and devices.
