Spot welding technology

Spot welding is a resistance welding method in which a welded joint is assembled and pressed between two electrodes and the base metal is melted by resistive heat to form a brazed joint. Spot welding is commonly used to join thin sheet metal such as aircraft skin, aircraft engine chimney and car cabin skin. A spot welder and a welding transformer are both spot welding devices that have only one secondary circuit. The upper and lower electrodes and electrode arms are used to conduct the welding current and transmit power. When the cooling water flows through the transformer, electrode and other parts, to avoid heating during welding, please connect the cooling water first and then turn on the power switch. The quality of the electrodes directly affects the welding process, welding quality and productivity. Electrode materials are usually made of copper, cadmium bronze, chromium bronze, etc.; The shapes of the electrodes are diverse, determined mainly by the shape of the weld.
