Spiral rolling process

Preparation of starting material: The material (sheet or steel bar) is first heated appropriately to achieve optimal plasticity. Preliminary heat treatment is intended to facilitate further shaping. Spiral formation: In the spiral rolling process, the material is moved through rollers that give it a spiral shape. The rollers rotate to gradually form the material into a curved, spiral structure rather than a straight, flat sheet. Parameter control: An important aspect of spiral rolling is the precise control of parameters such as temperature, rolling speed and pressure force. The measurement technologies used monitor the shape of the spiral, which allows obtaining a material with a uniform structure and appropriate mechanical properties. Cooling: After forming the spiral, the material is cooled under controlled conditions, which allows its structure to stabilize. The cooling process also affects the hardness and strength of the material. Finish: The final stage may be further processing, e.g. cutting, welding or surface treatment, depending on the final use of the spiral steel elements.
