6 gauge steel rod, 6-12 meters long, threaded, black A threaded rod, also known as a shank, is a relatively long rod that has threads on both ends; the thread can extend along the entire length of the rod. They are intended for use in stretching. Threaded rod in bar form is often called fully threaded rod (ATR); other names include full thread rod, redi-rod, continuous thread rod, and TFL rod. Galvanized steel, mild steel, stainless steel, nylon, brass, copper, aluminum and titanium are commonly used to produce threaded rod.
