Composite materials

Composite material (composite) – a material with a heterogeneous structure, composed of two or more components (phases) with different properties[1]. The properties of composites are never the sum or average of the properties of its components. Most often, one of the components is the binder, which guarantees its consistency, hardness and elasticity, and the other, the so-called structural component, provides resistance to compression/tension.
